WELCOME TO STUARTOLDS.COM
Writer & Inventor Based In North Somerset, UK

WELCOME TO my website, an accumulation of ideas and possible solutions to some of our global problems.

The origins of my innovating go back to 1982. My father had a poultry farm and I helped him overcome problems with feed lines, etc. This sowed the seed of invention in my mind and you can see some of my ideas from over the years in the innovations section of the website.

There are some ideas which have made it to the market place, and some being developed by billionaires. This I see as a positive thing, as my ideas are proven and being developed today. I never had the funds at 14 years of age, but I had the imagination.
My writing started not long after the events of 9/11. I penned a short poem/song called Our Time 4 Hope, and after quite a seismic event in my life, I started to write Hopes Truth. This is a trilogy which I can visualise being made into a film. You can read more about the writing in the fiction section.

Much of my work is based around our own survival and the survival of our planet and eco-system. I believe very much that nature is the whole and the power house of the universe. We are part of that universe, after all we are made of the same substances. So why not keep things simple and argument free?

HOMEDOME BEAR PIT, BRISTOL
THE HOMEDOME 'Bear Pit' project primarily aims to provide shelter and healthcare for homeless people in Bristol, UK.

Click to read more The Dome would occupy a pedestrianised area of central Bristol, and would create an ideal music and arts venue, in addition to laundry facilities, veterinary care and mental health healing.

The catering and general running of the Homedome would be managed by a team that would help the homeless to learn the skills in catering, music and stage services.

The main funding would come from events and the electronic advertising on the exterior lower section of the Homedome.

Homedome would become a 'first stop shop', providing the homeless with essential commodities such as shelter, jobs and healthcare, including mental health.   READ MORE

ABOUT STUART OLDS
Click to read more about Stuart Olds I AM Stuart William Olds, born in January 1970 in Keynsham, Bristol, England. I am the author of the science fiction novel Hope's Truth, and I am an inventor/innovator.

I am, above all, a Carpenter. This is a trade which has stuck with the human species ever since we fell from the trees. We are still very reliant on using timber for our survival. I feel privileged to be able to make a living with this renewable product.

The moon landings would never have happened unless there was a person behind a mallet and chisel. Today, as we understand more about our environment and the need for renewable material, Carpentry will rise again as such a necessary skill and profession. To call it a trade undermines its importance.

I was brought up on a poultry farm on the edge of Keynsham, which is situated mid-way between Bristol and Bath, in the United Kingdom.   READ MORE
